Developing Exceptional Change-Ups

Can you believe it's May 1st already?! While March seemed like the longest month ever, April FLEW by so quickly! How are you doing? Figuring out how to make things work in our new normal?
I've been busy creating new ways to reach all of you now and in the future. One thing is pretty evident, the world as it was before COVID-19 won't ever be exactly the same. I'm hopeful we can start playing ball and training in-person together again soon, but things will undoubtedly be a bit different when this does happen. I'm working to make sure that I'm able to continue to help you learn and grow, regardless of how that might look in the future!
Today, let's talk about CHANGE-UPS!

Without at doubt, this is my FAVORITE pitch to teach pitchers and coaches! It can be THE game-changer for ANY pitcher. Developing a solid change-up, that contains the 3 key components I discuss below, can take an average pitcher and make her good; or a good pitcher and make her GREAT! Ensuring that your pitcher understands each of these things and has the tools to improve them during practice is crucial to her success.
I'm sending this week's post in an audio format for a change. I LOVE listening to podcasts and audio books, they help me enjoy many hours in my car. I thought I'd give an audio version a try with some of the content I'm giving you.
